Industrial systems are based on an equipment from big vendors, and incresingly adopting the Industry 4.0 concepts to improve the performance. However, in order for these systems to run, continuous maintenance is needed requiring innovative ways to solve the problems on the floor and day-to-day operations. Many problems in the maintenance can be solved using the innovative customized technology, completely avoiding interference with the main control systems.
Solution
The FPGA SoC technology provides a base for integrating powerful industrial machine vision solutions, building on a proven IP blocks and custom algorithms development and implementation.
Bitgear creates custom industral machine vision processing systems, based on FPGA SoC technology and machine vision and image processing expertize. The solutions address technical problems of high speed image acquisition, edge processing of data, image processing and defects detection algorithms. This way, some statistical or temporal paramaters important for maintenance (for example, errors in exposure of cans to the coat spray), but not easily available through the SCADA and process system, become available for maintenance teams.
In addition to outputs from custom machine vision systems, vibration and current consumption profiles can be added to the data analysis and dashboards.
