IoT snapshot camera system

In many emerging use cases, taking a snapshot image of the event would bring a whole new level of possibilities. Examples are physical security, smart waste management, and similar. However, low-power and low-cost requirements and limited bandwidth of IoT communication channels, are limiting when it comes to effective usage of cameras in IoT settings.

Bitgear develops (and currently pilots in several use cases) the low-cost battery powered NB-IoT sensors devices, capable of taking a snapshot image and sending it to Cloud for further image processing and application. This technology enables creating new experiences and services, based on the Cloud AI/ML analysis of the snapshot images.

Our solution

• Custom made IoT sensor devices with snapshot camera (used in previous generation of mobile phones) and scene illumiation
• Up to 30,000 snapshots can be taken and sent to Cloud with a single battery pack
• NB-IoT connectivity
• Event confirmation for physical security applications, tracking the waste management chain, and similar applications
